Ceramic wear parts in paper machines (e.g. covers, foils and cleaner cones) are the key parts in dewatering section which used to use polymer polyethylene material. Howerer, polymer polyethylene has low wear resistance and short service life that needs to be replaced frequently, which lowers paper quality and increases production cost. Ceramic dewatering elements possess features like high hardness and strength, low friction coefficient, high corrosion resistance and high porosity, as well as long service life. The successful application in lots of paper plants shows that Sicer dewatering elements can effectively reduce power usage by 50% and double the wire’s service life, improving paper quality and production efficiency while decreasing production costs.
